1. Mount Kilimanjaro... she exists!
A dormant volcanic mountain, the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 5895 meters above sea level.
It's the end of the rainy season here, which means a lot of cloud cover. I didn't even get my first glimpse at Kili until well into my second week in Tanzania.
She's magistic.
2. A hedgehog!
Apparently, they're super common here. I've never seen one in the wild. Yohanna, one of my Massai students in Community English class came over to where I was painting with this little guy that he'd found.
